Privacy Policy

This notice explains how the personal data collected through The Rest Is Yours is processed, under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). The only processing of personal data concerns the optional subscription to tax-change alerts.

1. Data controller

2. Data we collect

• Your email address, which you provide voluntarily in the “Notify me” form.
• The role, level and cities you selected, stored as contact attributes so we can send you alerts relevant to your “corridor”.

We collect no other identifying data. We don't ask for your name, address or payment details.

3. Purpose

We use this data for one purpose only: emailing you an alert when tax rates, regimes or thresholds change in ways relevant to the role, level and cities you selected. We don't use your email for anything else and we don't share it with third parties for marketing.

4. Legal basis

Processing is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given when you subscribe and confirmed via double opt-in: your registration only takes effect after you click the link in the confirmation email. You can withdraw consent at any time (see point 8).

5. Retention

We keep your email and attributes for as long as you remain subscribed. If you don’t confirm your subscription (double opt-in) within 30 days, the pending contact is deleted. After you unsubscribe, your data is removed or anonymized within 30 days, except where the law requires otherwise.

6. Data processors

Emails are sent through Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, 106 Boulevard Haussmann, 75008 Paris, France), acting as a data processor and storing data on EU servers. The site is hosted by Vercel. Both providers process data under their standard data processing agreements (DPAs), incorporated in their terms of service.

7. Your rights

You can exercise the rights under Articles 15–22 GDPR at any time:

• Access: know what data we process about you.
• Rectification: correct inaccurate data.
• Erasure (“right to be forgotten”): request deletion of your data.
• Portability: receive your data in a machine-readable format.
• Restriction of and objection to processing.
• Complaint to the competent supervisory authority — in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it).

8. How to unsubscribe

Every email contains a one-click unsubscribe link. Alternatively, write to us and we'll remove you. Unsubscribing is immediate and free.

9. Cookies and tracking

The Rest Is Yours uses no profiling cookies and no analytics or tracking tools. Your choices (role, level, cities) live in the page address (URL), on your device: they are not stored in cookies and build no profile. That's why we show no cookie banner: there are no non-essential cookies to consent to.
